What we show about people

Only details about your work: name, job title, and the email address and phone number your business can be reached on. For a sole trader or partnership the business details are about you too: business name, place, postcode, website, KVK number and building. If that address is a home according to the Dutch building register (BAG), we show no full postcode and no building.

Where it comes from

From companies’ own websites, from public registers (such as KVK open data, the BAG, European tenders and the Dutch childcare register) and from licensed data files of business listings (such as Overture Maps, which bundles business pages on Facebook among others, and Foursquare Open Places). A small part comes from business data suppliers.

Who receives it

FirmTrove customers: businesses that search, export or use the API. FlintLead, a brand of the same company, also uses the data to contact businesses.

Why

So businesses can find and contact other businesses. That is a legitimate interest of ours and of our customers (article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Read our assessment.

How long

We show a personal detail only if we received it or confirmed it again within the last 24 months, at its source or by checking the email address. Otherwise we stop showing it.

Your rights

You can object, ask for a copy, have something corrected, have processing restricted or have yourself removed. Removal is done above. We then put your email address or number on a block list so it does not come back; that is the only reason we still keep it. Customers must apply your removal too. For anything else, use the form below; we respond within 48 hours. If you disagree with us, you can complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority.
